Summary of the thematic legal study on homophobia and discrimination based on sexual orientation

Objectives
The main objective of the summary report was to update the collection and analysis of information and data on the Greek legislation and legal practice dealing with homophobia and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation. The summary report focused particularly on the institutional framework relating to the implementation of Directive 2007/78/EC, the free movement of persons, asylum procedures, family reunification, freedom of assembly, etc. In addition, the summary report provided a detailed analysis in the few cases where there have been developments in case law on issues of discrimination based on sexual orientation.
