Objectives
The main objective of the bulletins is to provide in quarterly basis a snap-shot overview on developments in the EU, relevant to FRA’s mandate and work. The purpose is to provide factual up-to-date and accurate informa-tion for policy-makers as well as for experts from non-governmental or-ganizations (NGO’s), think tanks and intergovernmental organizations (IGO’s) on the following areas: a) Discrimination based on sex, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation and against persons belonging to minorities and any combination of these grounds (multiple discrimina-tion) b) compensation of victims, c) the rights of the child, including the protection of children, d) asylum, immigration and integration of mi-grants, e) visa and border control, f) participation of the citizens of the Un-ion in the Union’s democratic functioning, g) information society and, in particular, respect for private life and protection of personal data and h) access to efficient and independent justice.
