Flash Report on fundamental human rights in 2009

Objectives
The main objective of the flash report is to present the main developments in the area of fundamental rights in Greece for the year 2009, while at the same time provide sources of information and verification. The main ar-eas of focus of the flash report are: racism, xenophobia and related intol-erance, discrimination based on sex, race or ethnic origin, religion or be-lief, disability, age or sexual orientation and against persons belonging to minorities and any combination of these grounds (multiple discrimina-tion), compensation of victims, the rights of the child, including the pro-tection of children, asylum, immigration and integration of migrants, visa and border control, participation of the citizens of the Union in the Un-ion’s democratic functioning, information society and, in particular, re-spect for private life and protection of personal data, access to efficient and independent justice.
