CompEUte: Study Visit of Greek Judges to the Hellenic Competition Commission
On 27 March, Greek judges participated in a study visit to the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), as part of the EU co-funded project “CompEUte – Multidisciplinary Judicial Training for the Digital Single Market”, implemented by the Th. & D. Tsatsos Foundation – Centre for European Constitutional Law (CECL), in collaboration with the National School of Judges (ESDI) and the Hellenic Competition Commission.
The visit featured distinguished representatives of the HCC. We had the honor of being welcomed by the HCC President, Ms Irene Sharp, and Vice President, Ms Chara Nikolopoulou, while we would like to sincerely thank Ms Evi Karkani, Mr Yiannis Apostolakis and Ms Konstantina Skandali for their substantive contributions.
Participants were informed on the HCC’s institutional role, responsibilities, and procedures, and engaged in discussions on practical challenges and ways to strengthen cooperation between the courts and the Competition Commission, with a focus on the efficient and effective handling of competition cases.
The visit significantly contributed to strengthening mutual trust and cross-sectoral collaboration, promoting transparency and efficiency in judicial processes.
