CARDS Regional Action Programme 2003

Objectives
The broader objective of the project is to (A) support co-operation on the reform and viability of the social sector by co-ordinating and monitoring social policies, (B) improve cross-border co-operation in the field of social protection and (C) improve institutional capacity for quality development and proficiency in the social sector in the beneficiary countries (Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro including Kosovo, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia). The activities of the project include among others the elaboration of studies and blueprint documents, the exchange of best practices between administrators from partner countries, the organisation of conferences, training seminars and study tours, the screening of national legislation, the organisation of a regional clearing house etc.
