{"id":2402,"date":"2017-09-07T13:27:00","date_gmt":"2017-09-07T10:27:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thesandbox.eu\/2017\/09\/07\/working-conference-charter-of-fundamental-rights-and-judicial-practice\/"},"modified":"2019-07-26T10:42:29","modified_gmt":"2019-07-26T07:42:29","slug":"conf-12-10-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cecl.gr\/en\/category-events\/conferences\/2017\/09\/07\/conf-12-10-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Working conference: Charter of fundamental rights and judicial practice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Default\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Centre for European Constitutional Law, in cooperation with Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Human Rights in Austria, the Austrian Federal Ministry of Justice, Instituto di Studi Giuridici Internazionali (CNR-ISGI, Rome), Institute for Law and Society (INPRIS, Warsaw) and the Croatian Ombudsman Office (Zagreb), is currently implementing the project \u201cJudging the Charter\u201d.<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"Default\">The project is co-funded by the Justice Programme of the European Union and its main goal is to strengthen knowledge and capacities within the judiciary and other legal professionals throughout Europe on when and how to refer to Charter rights in judicial practice.<\/p>\n<p>In this framework, we are organizing a working conference \u201cCharter of Fundamental Rights and judicial practice\u201d, which will take place in Athens, on 12 \u03ba\u03b1\u03b9 13 October 2017. The conference at providing a platform for the exchange of experience on questions of applicability and the challenges of implementing Charter rights in practice and it will discuss the below issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>areas of application of the Charter<\/li>\n<li>ongoing education and training programmes on the Charter<\/li>\n<li>case studies on how to apply the Charter on real life cases<\/li>\n<li>application of Charter rights and principles specifically on immigration issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre for European Constitutional
