{"id":14833,"date":"2023-09-01T17:13:12","date_gmt":"2023-09-01T14:13:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cecl.gr\/?p=14833"},"modified":"2023-09-01T17:13:13","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T14:13:13","slug":"a4-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cecl.gr\/en\/category-projects\/2023\/09\/01\/a4-project\/","title":{"rendered":"A4: Crossing borders for effective police investigation to protect female victims of sex trafficking and enhance accountability mechanisms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/kemea.gr\/en\/\">Center for Security Studies (KEMEA)<\/a>, in cooperation with the <a href=\"https:\/\/ekka.org.gr\/index.php\/en\/\">National Centre for Social Solidarity (EKKA)<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cecl.gr\/en\">Centre for European Constitutional Law &#8211; Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicesse.eu\/\">Vienna Centre for Societal Security &#8211; VICESSE<\/a> (Austria) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netlaw.bg\/en\">Pravo I Internet Foundation (Bulgaria)<\/a> are implementing the, co-funded by the EU project, entitled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a4project.eu\/\">&#8220;A4: Crossing borders for effective police investigation to protect women victims of sexual abuse and strengthen accountability mechanisms&#8221;<\/a>. Its general objective is to combat impunity for all actors involved in trafficking of human beings, in particular women and girls who are sexually exploited, and to strengthen the protection of women\/girls who are victims of trafficking through a resilient police-led mechanism at the south-eastern border of the EU. Thus, a cross-border alliance has been formed, which will benefit from the exchange of knowledge and good practices between 3 Member States with a key common characteristic: low conviction rates for human trafficking and other related offences (Austria, Bulgaria, Greece).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A4 will work closely with LEAs, police commanders, lawyers, border guards, custom and passport control officers to develop and implement the project\u2019s research output. The consortium will leverage on stakeholders\u2019 participation to extend A4\u2019s network and bring together a cross-disciplinary and international community involved in combating sex trafficking of women and girls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Project\u2019s duration: <\/strong>01.03.2021 \u2013 28.02.2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text alignwide is-stacked-on-mobile\"
