Enhancing the Capacity of Correctional Servicesto Work with Convicted Children"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <strong>Center for European Constitutional Law &#8211; Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation<\/strong> participates as a partner in the <strong>ARISA Child<\/strong> project, in collaboration with scientific organizations from Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal and Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assessing the Risk of Isolation of Suspects and Accused (ARISA) is a series of projects striving to promote the rights of suspects, accused and convicted persons in the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This project is aimed to increase the knowledge of the staff of correctional services on how to work with convicted children, respect their rights and address their special needs. This will be achieved by offering to prisons and probation services training and capacity building activities tailored to their needs. The project will pursue three specific objectives: 1) assess the specific training needs of prison and probation services in relation to working with convicted children; 2) promote experience sharing and exchange of promising practices in respecting children&#8217;s rights when implementing sanctions against children; and 3) provide correctional services with a state-of-the-art online training course on child-friendly execution of penal sanctions.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cecl.gr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/EN-V-Co-funded-by-the-EU_POS-1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14291\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Center for European Constitutional Law &#8211; Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation participates as a partner in the ARISA Child project, in collaboration with scientific organizations from Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal and Italy.
