It is a non-profit organization founded by the\nlate Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Dimitris Th. Tsatsos in 1995, located in\nAthens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFoundation aims to promote the development of democratic institutions, fundamental\nrights and the welfare state; to deepen European integration; and to strengthen\ninternational cooperation under the principle of respect to the cultural\nidentity of each state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nspecific objectives of the Foundation are to provide institutional know-how and\ncapacity-building to public bodies in Greece, developing countries and\nmember-states of the European Union, to undertake theoretical and applied\nresearch in the fields of Greek, European and comparative public law and public\npolicies; and to promote public awareness on developments in the European area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To\nthis date, the Foundation participating in numerous European and National\nProjects has undertaken research, consulting and institution-building projects\nin more than 20 countries worldwide, and maintains an active network of\ncollaborating institutions and highly qualified experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Legal Status <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nThemistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation &#8211; Centre for European\nConstitutional Law, is a non-governmental organization, operating as a public\nbenefit institution. It operates under the supervision of the Hellenic\nMinistries of Foreign Affairs, Economy, Justice, Education and Culture. It was\nfounded in July 1995 (Official Journal of the Hellenic Republic 614\/12.7.1995)\nand has its headquarters in Athens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Administration &#8211;\npersonnel &#8211; infrastructure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nThemistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation &#8211; Centre for European\nConstitutional Law is administered by a Board consisting of eleven members. A\nConsulting Committee, whose members are prominent professors of European\nuniversities, provides advice in the planning and implementation of its\nactivities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nFoundation currently employs about 20 full-time research associates and a large\nnumber of external scientific collaborators and experts.\n\nThe Foundation owns\noffice premises at 43, Akadimias str. in Athens. \n\n\n\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is the Themistocles and Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation?
